The works depict how students aged from 7 to 14 see the world in 100 years time – from the perspective of a worm.

The environmental and sustainability theme is an integral part of the Humanities Studies undertaken by students throughout Australia.

On the positive side students depicted a sustainable planet with worms living in harmony with mankind.
  • Futurists had worms colonising space
  • Some took a decidedly pessimistic view. One student, despairing that humans would never learn, depicted military worms who decided that “the world we live in is shocking – that’s why we put a plan into action to destroy the human race”.
