2nd National Environmental Art Competition 2004/5

H20 in 2020

What will have happened to all OUR WATER by the year 2020?

School students from all over Australia have anticipated UNESCO’s International Decade for Action, ‘Water for Life’

By thinking about the Future of our Water…students aged 7-14 created the H20 in 2020 Exhibition hosted by the Australian Museum, Sydney. Students were invited to submit posters to show the state of water by the year 2020.

Will there be any left? What will it be like? What inventions could we create to help save our water? What can we do NOW to help save our water? What will happen if we don't look after it properly....

These fabulous Art Works were the result

Prizes were awarded to finalists and winners, by the Hon. Bob Debus MP,

Attorney General & Minister of the Environment NSW

Congratulations to all our entrants.

“The competition H20 in 2020, was designed to challenge our students to consider the important issue of WATER and to become the Environmental Heroes of tomorrow.

These fabulous art-works show a real concern for the Future of Water as well as the students’ willingness to become involved with the issues which will affect all of their futures.”
